The Brahms Requiem is a magnificent work, possibly inspired by the death of his mother in February 1865. The final 7 movements were first premiered in Leipzig in on 18 th Feb 1869. And Alyth Coral Society was privileged to sing the Requiem accompanied by two pianists, a tenor and soprano. The sound was just wonderful and everyone left the hall feeling up lifted.. Feedback from our audience has been so rewarding - thank you to everyone who came to share in this very special event.
