About Us

Under the leadership of Alison Smart Fisher and building on the legacy of Viv Bellos, the choir explores an exciting range of repertoire. Whilst  continuing to develop its traditional strengths in cantata and oratorio, the choir also enjoys performing theatre music and contemporary works.

Alyth Choral Society has had many works composed for it, including the cantatas Death of Moses and Ruth by Julian Dawes, an honorary Life Friend of the Society.  The Society has performed at national venues including the Royal Festival Hall, Barbican, St John’s, Smith Square, St Martin-in-the-Fields and St Paul’s.
